We are proud to offer this beautiful Omega Seamaster Automatic reference 2848-1 from the 1950s, featuring an elegant black dial, subsidiary seconds and the characteristic timeless proportions of an early Omega Seamaster. Presented in nice overall vintage condition, this is a particularly attractive example with a classic and understated appearance.

The black dial is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the watch. It remains in very nice overall condition and features elegant applied hour markers together with the distinctive applied Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock. The subsidiary seconds display at 6 o’clock adds further depth and character to the dial and gives the watch the unmistakable appearance of a mid-century Omega.

The stainless steel case remains in nice condition for its age, showing normal marks and signs of wear consistent with a vintage watch of this period. Its elegant proportions, polished surfaces and curved lugs create the timeless appearance for which early Seamaster models have become so appreciated.

The watch retains an original Omega signed crown and is fitted with a high quality replacement stainless steel bracelet featuring an Omega signed clasp.
